Lalin Section of Sichuan-Tibet Railway

Project introduction

The Lalin section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway (Lhasa to Nyingchi) is the first electrified railway in Tibet. The Lalin Railway was completed and opened to traffic, and the "Fuxing" Plateau EMU was put into operation, and Tibet officially entered the EMU era. The opening of railways not only greatly facilitates the entry and exit of passengers in Tibet, but the improvement of railway freight capacity has made a great contribution to the social and economic development of Tibet.
